SHEBA

Female Dog aged 4 years 3 months.

Sheba is a true survivor. She was saved from a dreadfully squalid puppy farm environment, along with her litter of puppies, when the premises were raided by the authorities and the dogs were all seized and signed over to rescue. Sheba and her pups were taken into a foster home to learn about life and love, and proper care, and from the initially terrified dog that she was, she is coming to trust people. The fosterer has been working very hard with her, but whoever adopts this beautiful girl will need to be ready to carry on with confidence-building as well as general training. Sheba loves to be cuddled and fussed, but at the same time she can be easily spooked by things, so we would like to place her in an adult household and with a previous dog owner, and possibly with a calm neutered male dog to help her. She has come so far from her horrible past, and now needs her own special someone, to whom she will be a very loving and loyal companion. Sheba loves attention and loves to be groomed and fussed. She travels well in the car, and her general dog training is progressing well, but will certainly need to be continued. She will have spent most of her life in a horrible world, and now needs all the love and care that she missed out on. She will need company most of the time.
